I was working in the mobile app via remote control when I saw it: "PostToolUse:Bash says: Tip: Run /ultrareview before you push to catch bugs with a cloud-based multi-agent review — 3 free reviews left." Haven't decided how I feel about this yet as it wasn't too disruptive, but I can see where it could cause issues in an automation pipeline. But maybe this is something they're only pushing to subscription users in interactive sessions, so I guess it could be considered "reasonably unobtrusive". Regardless though this is a darkening road.
I was recently working on an AI harness too, but I wasn't using AI to code it. It's really easy and requires little code. I wasn't even using langchain - that would require even less code. UI is harder for sure, but it's not that bad. You need to think though where to catch which exceptions. LLMs might opt for langchain which has had multiple breaking changes after the knowledge cutoff, making it hard for the LLM to work with it. This is probably going to lead to the LLM having to make many changes to it's code, making it messy and leading to further code being less maintainable.
WTF! I just looked at the filing date of March 2026 and assumed this was still an application! I realize now that even for a patent application it had published too early, since they usually get published 18 months after filing. Turns out it was fast-tracked, which is why it was issued in ~2 months. It does claim priority to an earlier filing so the invention date is indeed March 2006. Not a single claim was questioned or rejected, it went straight to grant! Yeah, unless I'm misreading claim 1, it seems iffy. From a quick glance at the spec, maybe the novel part is that all tool calls are executed in the sandboxed code block, thus keeping the intermediate results from polluting the context. But I'm not sure if that's different from existing systems like LangChain.

I mean that's a fair take. But, for me it's not so much that it doesn't match my view. I'm honestly mixed on the whole thing (I am probably most concerned about the finances). It's more that the articles they write seem to align with the eb and flow of anthropics media tempo. This week it's FOMO, next week it's panacea, hack all the things week, followed by mild financial concerns with a but it will be fine tacked at the end. The articles tend to lack concreteness too. Maybe, it's just what reading The Economist is like when it's a domain you actually understand and follow closely? Honestly, though I could probably say the same for a lot of publications these days.
Seen from the outside, the US seemed a lot more coherent pre-Trump.
Besides the downplaying and obfuscation about the timeline on the first half, I find the inclusion of anthropic and zoom examples to be wild. Just spraying in all directions.
If I understand correctly, you're saying people are compute-poor but not necessarily GPU-poor because there's a lot of GPUs out there but nowhere to plug them into? If so, I'm not sure that distinction matters to the GP's point that there is too much demand to call this an oversupply. I also doubt we can estimate the level of demand based on a single deal between Anthropic and SpaceX (despite which, note, Claude still stuggles at times.) For the past couple of month, I have been building belgie ( https://github.com/mplemay/belgie ) with the goal of making it easy for agents to dynamically generate user interfaces / code in a sandboxed environment. At a high-level, it supports 1. Create React MCP UIs (and traditional Web UIs) from python without needing a JS runtime installed 2. Provides a deno backed typescript sandbox for agent generated code via pydantic-ai / langchain A great example use cases is automatically generating UIs for SQL query results.
I am not a fan of OpenAI, but I believe the long-view for many AI companies is that AI will replace the phone and all of its functions, essentially being voice activated, summarizing version. Though this doesn't work in public settings, so I am also not totally sure what the long-view is..
US is currently recovering (fever breaking) from the petty and micromanaged stage. We haven't been coherent as a nation for like 20+ years.

Just today, 5.6-sol refused to elaborate on a security vulnerability it claimed it had identified in my code. It could plainly see the git history with my name on every commit going back to inception, but apparently elaborating on the nature of a purported vulnerability is too scary for openai. It would fix it for me, automatically, if I was willing to let it run amok in my codebase. But asking if the "vuln" was exploitable triggered the guardrails and a "we can't show you this content" error because I am not part of the cybersecurty Trusted Access bullshit.
I guess Daybreak Blue is their attempt to fix the problem of Hugging Face getting iced out of being able to analyze the AI slopsploit attack chain they got hit with? I'm still not happy with putting defensive capabilities behind any sort of identification wall - mostly because when I'm inevitably 0wned by a misaligned[0] AI, I'm almost certainly not going to be granted access to these programs as I'm an un-sueable nobody. Also, if I did have access, I'd use it to jailbreak my iPad, which is probably considered an unauthorized / unsafe use. [0] Some guy in Australia's OpenClaw just hacked their gym
