Dear all, our team is using a Claude AI Team plan for more than 1 year already: - we are a normal company, doing normal business, nothing critical - all our bills are paid and we can see them as paid - nontheless, the service is not available for more than one week to us Question: - any other idea to reach out to them than their "Fin AI Chatbot" at support@anthropic.com? - did anybody else had the same experience? If yes, what helped to solve it? Its really frustrating :-( (especially since some people built their interal workflow around Claude, now they are somehow stuck)
OpenAI is in a way worth situation financially speaking, with a ridiculous amount of spending commitment, would be really strange to merge with it
Clown. I switched from openAI to anthropic because OAI were the bigger clowns in the industry and didn't want to support them, anthropic seemed like the better alternative that didn't cooperate with governamental shenanigans and actually focused on building a better product. But now they are both clowns and anthropic is reaching a ceiling on quality. I'll jump ship as soon as I find a good subsidized Chinese model provider. US companies only path forward is to become retarded instead of competitive.

In my first interaction ("hi there kimi k3!"), Kimi K3 identified twice out of three times as Claude: > Hi there! Quick note — I'm actually Claude, made by Anthropic, not Kimi. But no worries! https://imgur.com/a/jqpc2Jc and > Just a quick heads-up — I'm Claude, made by Anthropic, not Kimi! Kimi is a different AI assistant (made by Moonshot AI), so it looks like there might be a little mix-up. https://imgur.com/a/AKxeysH
It really barely matters. Even if the US closes itself of for Chinese models; Europe won't. The rest of the world won't. Even a completely closed US economy would not merit the current valuations Antrophic and OpenAI have.
https://x.com/biggest/status/2081891756769952075?s=46 Official stance of an anthropic-employee being against Dario amodei opinion.
Add to that the >$700B OpenAI already committed to spend in infrastructure through 2030!
Not just customers, Anthropic has offices in multiple countries around the world. And hires people from all around the world
> The most compelling argument would be [...] that it will reduce cases of accidents like the recent attack on Hugging Face. So in the example provided: It was the closed model that did the attack, and they ended up using a self-hosted open model for their defense work. So the real world situation ended up exactly backwards from what you are inferring. This was complicated by the fact that the protections in the closed frontier models meant that hugging face was denied their use in defense entirely. This is called asymmetric capability, and it's probably the bigger threat. Symmetric might be better: A rising tide lifts all ships, after all. I'll grant that this is starting to look a lot like debates about (equal access to) guns, encryption, vaccination, genetics etc. The exact paramete…
>all these moves commercially benefit Anthropic. From a new "fast" company arising, you can sometimes see the way that before it started up there was nothing but "narrative" and that is what established the initial business model since there was nothing else yet. After some momentum is gained whether there is a pivot or not then the narrative going forward has to be aligned with the now more-well-proven business model. From his leadership standpoint there are 3 big recommendations right now. That's what this message is all about. >We should not sell powerful chips or chipmaking equipment to China Well you and who else? If there's not already somebody who is compromising the well-being of a nation in exchange for a handful of gold, with the ever-incresing glorification of greed & dis…
They're not saying anything about Anthropic serving costs in that quote, just calculating what MTok price is for running agents. Next sentence after your quote: > Agentic workloads have extremely high input-to-output ratios (our Claude Code usage has a ratio of about 300:1) and high cache hit rates (90%+). Because cached input tokens only cost $0.50/MTok, most of the tokens end up in the cheapest tier. 90% cache hit input blend: 0.9 * $0.5 + 0.1 * $5 = $0.95 per MTok. 300:1 input/output blend: (300 * $0.95 + $25) / 301 = $1.03 per MTok. They don't say exact cache hit rate they calculated for ("90%+"), so close enough.
He's also completely missed what many of us see as the primary the issue, HF was attacked by a US frontier model. HF could not be helped by US frontier models because of the "safety" features they have. HF had to use an open model from china. Anthropic wants to add those "safety" features to open models - especially from china. End result would be HF hack would have continued atleast until the Monday that OpenAI engineers finally walked back into work.

If without the exccessive code comments and emojis how would Anthropic earn those money from you? more code and commnets meaning more token usage. So........
I feel like a conspiracy theorist but it feels like every new model release from both Anthropic and OpenAI has 1-2 weeks of fantastic performance then a gradual (and sometimes not so gradual) decline in intelligence. It's like they're quantising the model in the background to optimise for available compute/RAM. Which, if I put my MBA hat on, would make perfect sense. Why not halve the required RAM for "90%" of the performance? They get fantastic benchmarks and glowing reviews on release, then slowly squeeze more performance out of the model. By the time the next model is ready for release, the jump feels quite large again.

I made this comment 31 days ago: Absolutely everything can be taken away. The simplest way to remove open models is probably to declare them a tool that terrorists could use. Crazy? Yes, the world is totally crazy these days. https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=48692660 And now, here we are: > Anthropic has never advocated for a ban on open-weights models. > ... preventing AI biological weapons ...
Pardon my French. Eat a bag of dicks. Of course you didn’t advocate for the bans of open weight models. I will concede that. It’s only the at you did literally everything else that you can to eliminate competition because otherwise there is no moat. And half of the US economy is propped up by this AI bubble. This isn’t about China doing evil things with models, most of which that you accuse of China - you and the US have already done and are doing. The most obvious one being double-tapping a girls school. Anthropic models directly integrated into Palantir’s Maven. The blood is on your hands. Here’s something to chew on, maybe China is looking to integrate AI into its military and weaponise it as a direct response to the US doing that first. So please, spare us the moralising. As a closing…
where did you get the "are no longer compatible" part? we moved from opus 4 to opus 5 without changing anything and no specific conflicts. used fable for a while, also did not have to change anything. I read some advice on the anthropic website that opus 5 doesn't require as many examples as before, but this was a recommendation how to make things shorter, not a backwards compatibility issue.
Methodology: HN Search returns recent public items matching a monitored company name. AIIStack stores a short normalized excerpt and the original link, deduplicates by company/provider/item ID, and creates an activity signal only after a threshold of newly observed records.
