Show HN: Graft – Claude Code hooks that cut grep tokens by 42%

README is for humans if a human comes up and says "this project is for humans". Slop is excessively redundant. Basically "purple prose" of the technical documentation. But primarily: if its not worth writing, its not worth reading. (I use Claude to prepare half of my technical documentation but then i review EVERY single file. And every single one gets extensively edited despite being coherent from the outset. I just feel like it would be disrespectful to get LLM spit something out and ask my colleagues to read it. Like.... come on.)

Be honest: When was the last time you cleaned up obsolete code from your repos?

There are two modes - One of payment for the licence which is usually 10x the multi-licence deal, or its paid once and than every time another company licences it. I think the competition is now for the dev insights, way of work, human touch and trying to teach the agents how to replicate it, and they pay 100 USD per 1m token of code

I'll actually defend you on this one, but not only the command, that's more of a fine tuning option. On the hugging face link for example, there's no flat 'download' area. It's completely unintuitive for people to know how to use it. Reminds me of my first time trying to make sense of torrents when they first arrived. There are some clients that will index the models and allow you to do that but I'm no expert, I've used OLama studio but it always seems to go weird for me. Even this command above, it's not clear where op got the model from. So I'm with yah. For example, op uses : Qwen3.8-27B-IQ4_NL.gguf.. But I cant see where to download it. It's not tagged on hugging face at least..

Ordinary Abundance

No, it isn't - https://www.effectivealtruism.org/ Says so right there. If you want to argue otherwise, provide a source. As it stands you're just making things up. > Effective Altruism is in of itself a philosophy developed by charlatans that refuse to engage in the tradition that preceded it by about 2500 years. You're not communicating anything of substance, and I expect you can't. If there's a problem with EA in itself, it should be pretty damn easy to coherently point it out. There's nothing complicated about it: a) they value charity, b) they value maximal efficacy from a charitable dollar, c) they value taking the time to understand the impacts of various charities and prioritizing what matters to you I'm not sure what "tradition" you're alluding to here, but if yo…

As a MBP and DGX spark owner, I would love such a site... (Feel like it would be a low effort feature of hugging face). Searching through Reddit and forums for best commands is annoying.

I mean, that was obvious from the word "go". Even Zuckerberg isn't as deluded to think that there's money in constantly releasing closed models and hypserscaling their deployment, which is why we got muse-glimmer 30b last week. I have been playing with it on a 32gb MBP w/ M2 Pro. If prosumer-grade hardware from almost three years ago can now offer a novice a way to host a possibly serviceable software development agent, then there's little incentive to pay out for LLMs like Anthropic's or OpenAI's over the long run.

Google is making private AI practical with homomorphic encryption

What does that have to do with incpa? I send this server a question encrypted. It stays encrypted yet the server distinguished my ciphertext enough to produce a coherent reply. That means there was enough information in the ciphertext for the server to perform the inference, even if it was obscured to where it looks indistinguishable, it apparently wasn't. This doesn't remove trust from the equation, it puts the trust directly on the algorithm. Probably one no one can explain to me like I'm 5. But because it's encrypted I am no longer breaking the law by processing on protected data. I imagine very large contracts await on the other side. Lots of money to be made.

Why does Opus 5 feel worse to work with?

I was the same until I ran out of Anthropic tokens one day and used "Grok Build" which is their Claude Code clone. You can use config to point it any LLM API so don't need to use Grok, and I like the UI better too.

Show HN: Captain, AI Travel Agent

I’m a software designer from Lagos exploring conversational interfaces and frameworks for building agents. I made Captain to help with everyday travel planning. It can explore an itinerary, check live flight prices, or watch for the right time to book. Captain is a Telegram bot powered by a generalist model (anthropic/claude-sonnet-5), with specialist models handling workflows such as trip interpretation and voice transcription. It also includes a visual workspace where users can review the agent’s work and directly manipulate their travel information. I'm building the agent to explore how conversation, tools, durable workflows, and direct manipulation can come together in one coherent product.

Maximizing the value of your Claude Code sessions

Trading blows in some benchmarks is a bit exaggerated. If you try the model, `xhigh` is basically feels like the `max` mode (i.e. massive thinker and extremely presistent), and the amount of world knowledge and intent understanding is nowhere close to an Opus class model even from 6mo ago. It's still very useful, and it'll probably displace a good bit of API spend; but it's not really "trading blows with SOTA from just a half year ago". A bit overblown on the Anthropic/OpenAI has missed the window I reckon. Also, on the open weight frontier side, Kimi K3 is pretty expensive, and Deepseek V4 Pro/Flash is getting a little less juicy with price increases.

I'm pretty sure enterprise customers can also negotiate lower rates But OpenAI and Anthropic obviously wouldn't give better rates to a reseller. If the service is operating legally (no stolen accounts or the like, just breaking ToS) it is almost certainly proxying coding plans

I wonder if Anthropic and OpenAI possibly missed the window to go public. A 27B open-weight model trading blows with the SOTA from just half a year ago is not great news for trillion-dollar investments...

Why does Opus 5 feel worse to work with?

The entire Hugging Face hack involved escaping major sandboxes, this emergent (or intended) behavior in a smaller scale is still a real issue.

Yeah, I might just replicate what you're doing. Main issue right now is just finding spare vram to actually run another model in parallel... And yeah, if I train up a vision adapter somehow, I'll try to put it up/post about it, seems like we're getting the killer apps for local LLMs right now, where it's just feasible enough if you're enthusiastic enough to be a bit economically irrational, and just useful enough to sort of rationalize.
