But that's a reasonable guess at best, and knowing my own usage _nothing_ would have made my activity look like that. I was not maxing out usage limits, I was not running things 24/7, and my activity peaked on my typical working hours. And that's exactly the type of situation where I wish Anthropic would have just put me in front of a human to review OR at least let me know what in my usage caused flags to be raised so I can avoid them in the future

Anthropic's ARR is reportedly now above $60 billion. OpenAI's is reportedly above $40 billion. Countless people and businesses are using AI to create tangible value and reduce costs. We can debate whether the level of investment in AI is excessive and what any malinvestment will eventually cost when the market has to recognize it. But Zitron is selling you a $70/year subscription to a newsletter that constantly reminds you that AI is a bubble and the technology is worthless. The AI people aren't selling you the same thing Ed is. And let's be honest here: it's not like Zitron has any credentials of substance that are relevant. He's not an accountant and constantly demonstrates that he can't read a balance sheet or financial statement, doesn't understand basic account principles, etc. …

You’re applying pre-AI investing to a post-AI world. Yes, a decade ago, a startup raised money and spent 90% of it on people. The people built software which had incredible margins. Build it and then print money for ever more. That’s not the case any more, these startups no longer have incredible margins, they’re not collecting $100/m per user and banking $99 of it. They’re collecting $1000 and sending $999 of it to Anthropic and OpenAI. Revenue numbers are vastly inflated compared to pre-AI but these startups aren’t keeping the money. Profits are worse than ever before. Show HN: Weedout – Safari extension that hides YouTube AI-labeled videos
My pet peeve is the AI generated voices. I absolutely love the cosmology-astrophysics-space stuff. And it can be any crap if it's correct enough and entertaining enough and passive enough that I can fall asleep to it. But once I detect that the voiceover is AI generated that shit get instablocked forever. It's an instant put-off. Do all the visuals you want with AI as long as they are reasonable but when a human (AI) voice starts to fuck with the way a word has been presented in a particular context then it just makes me want to hate everything I won't mention any names <cough> elevenlabs.

Atlas: A World Model for Spatial Intelligence
It can operate in different modes for different applications. If you only want to reconstruct the content in the input images without any imagination, Atlas can do sparse 3D reconstruction where it predicts a depth map for each input pixel, without predicting anything occluded or not visible in the input views. This could be used to implement your "fog of war" view. But sometimes you want the model to stitch together views and imagine a coherent completion; this is a powerful tool for building and authoring generative worlds. For example the 1 minute video we show in the post was built by positioning seven unrelated input images in space and prompting the model to interpolate between them along a hand-specified camera path.

She, and we do not have the direct quote. It's a paraphrase, and the report can't seem to decide whether they're talking about revenue or growth. You can easily test this by pasting some of the more offensive tech bro speak into a fresh claude session, to have it explain what was trying to be said. The new session won't be able to help, so claude doesn't even know what claude says! I say "not directly", because I think it probably is meaningful, if you include the adjacent hidden thinking as context. From claude's "perspective", with that context, it probably is coherent. I naively suspect this would be hard to train. During tuning, you would probably need to reward good answers interpreted without thinking context visible!
